Which table should I use?
Choose the table period and legal framework that apply to the matter. Federal tables changed on October 1, 2025. Quebec has a separate provincial child-support model for cases to which it applies.
Does a shared-parenting set-off decide support?
No. Section 9 requires consideration of both table amounts, increased shared-parenting costs, and the circumstances of the spouses and children. A set-off is one part of that assessment.
What should I check in the output?
Review the income basis, table date, jurisdiction, parenting arrangement and any additional expenses. The professional using the calculation remains responsible for its application.
